Anse de Mays (beach)

Between Saint-Louis and Vieux-Fort, long strips of fine white sand stretch out, free from crowds and sheltered from the sea. On the weekend, boats anchor here and there, enjoying the calmer waters. Waters that are crystalline in places, and an incomparable blue throughout, a colour particular to the Grande Galette.

The Mays Cove of Vieux-Fort, and the little creeks that surround it, are a luxurious holiday spot. Lay out in the sun, take a dip with a view of the mountainous Basse-Terre, picnic with family or friends, or explore the underwater inhabitants of the lagoon in a dive - colored fish, rays, and white and black sea urchins await.
