Gueule Grand Gouffre

A Natural arch overlooking the turquoise sea, Gueule Grand Gouffre (‘Mouth of the Great Chasm’ in English) is a must see in Marie-Galante. It is only a short walk between the lookout and the parking lot, and from there you can see a spectacular panorama view of Grande-Terre and Desirade on clear days. The wooden barrier of the lookout provides necessary protection against a fatal drop, mind the notices and keep well within the viewing area.

Directions
From Saint-Louis, drive in the direction of Vieux-Fort. Continue for 5 km then follow the road to your right. The parking lot is a short walk to the lookout.
