Anse Champagne (beach)

Far from the bustle of the village, and tucked away past the golf course of Saint-François lies the Anse Champagne (Champagne Cove). Better known as the plage du Méridien (Meridien beach) after the once famous hotel - which has since been abandoned and destroyed due to economic challenges - this is a small beach full of charm. The entryway is dilapidated, not reflecting at all the atmosphere that awaits further ahead. White sand, huge coconut trees, turquoise water and boats bobbing on the waves make up this real life postcard.
