Boucle de Deville (hike)

N6, Petit-Canal

Voir le trajet

The Boucle de Deville trail, located in the heart of the forêt départementale de Deville-Maisoncelle (Departmental Forest of Deville-Maisoncelle) in Petit-Canal, invites you to discover the different species of trees in Guadeloupe. It hosts 34 hectares of mahogany, almond, bay rum, cinnamon, West Indian laurel, sapodilla, gum, birch, and pear trees. Keep an eye out for the little tree labels, often located at the base of the trunks, and learn the names for each one! The loop takes you through a botanical trail, then through a dry forest - characteristic of Grande-Terre - and finally brings you along sugarcane and banana tree fields.
