Located in the commune of Anse-Bertrand, the trace des Falaises takes you from the Moulin de la Mahaudière (Mahaudière mill) to the Porte d’Enfer (door of hell in english)  to discover imposing limestone cliffs that carve their way around Grande-Terre. Between breathtaking views overlooking beautiful pristine coves and green pastures, this trail makes you feel like you’ve arrived at the end of the world...

Two marked trails run along the coastal cliffs:

La trace des Falaises
Route: from the Moulin de la Mahaudière to the Porte d’Enfer
Distance: 11 km
Duration: 4.5-5 hours one way
Level: difficult due to high sun exposure
Advice: bring a cap or hat, sunscreen and at least 2 liters of water per person
Top Tip: bring two cars and park one on each side of the route (Moulin de la Mahaudière and the Porte d’Enfer)
Directions: To get to the Moulin de la Mahaudière: at the exit of Anse-Bertrand, take direction Mangles (N8). After 3 km, at section Beaufond, take the D120. The Mill is located after the section Campeche.

La trace du Souffleur
Route: from the Porte d'Enfer to the pointe du Souffleur
Distance: 4.8 km
Duration: 3 hours return
Level: difficult due to high sun exposure
Advice: bring a cap or hat, sunscreen and at least 2 liters of water per person
To see: the trou de Madame Coco, the trou du Souffleur at the Pointe à Tortue, the pointe du Souffleur, and the moulin de la Mahaudière.
