The discrete and charming beach of Anse Laborde, north of Anse-Bertrand, is the starting point for that the hike of the sentier des Pêcheurs (fishermen’s trail). It runs towards the Pointe de la Grande Vigie along the coast and a dry forest (a characteristic site of North Grande-Terre).

Find the sign at the end of the beach to begin. There, a stoney path joins the road. Here you will need to be vigilant to spot the blue tags, as they are sometimes hard to find.

This hike is a total immersion experience, offering breathtaking views of Guadeloupe!

Difficulty: medium (some difficult areas, loose stones underfoot)

Advice: bring a cap or hat, sunscreen, and at least 2 liters of water per person
Top Tip: if you do not want to do a round trip, go in two cars and park one on each end of the trail
