Le saut d'eau de Matouba (hike, waterfall)

Matouba, Saint-Claude

Voir le trajet

When visiting the heights of St. Claude, the waterfall of Matouba is a must see! The walk begins by crossing banana fields. The descent to the falls starts slow, following a muddy trail broken up with roots that help prevent slipping. From there the environment changes as you leave the forest: big trees and walls of ferns on one side of the trail, and a sharp cliff’s edge leading to the river on the other. Cross small footbridges, carefully trek through a hilly area, and head towards the Saint-Louis River. Once there, turn right to carefully make your way to the famous waterfall.
