A cultural event in Guadeloupe, weekend picnics at the edge of the river are a must for visitors.

The Corossol picnic area is located on the Route de la Traversée (D23), between the Ecrevisses (crayfish) waterfall and la maison de la Forêt (forest house) when driving in the direction of Pointe-à-Pitre / Bouillante. To reach it, just follow 'route forestière de Corossol ' to the end of the road (about 1km from the D23). The site, in the middle of the rainforest, is bordered by the Corossol River and features carbets* (including one accessible for those with reduced mobility) equipped with tables, benches and barbecues.

Please note:
The picnic area of Corossol is located in the heart of the Guadeloupe National Park. Other than the barbeques, the use of fire is forbidden.
