Cascade Bois Banane (hike, waterfall)

Ravine chaude, Lamentin

Voir le trajet

Nestled in the heights of Lamentin, the Bois Banane waterfall is little known and well worth the detour. The first part of the trail is easy on a relatively flat path, and punctuated by views of sugar cane fields, private gardens, and pineapple plantations with the Grand Cul-de-Sac Marin as a backdrop. When you reach a crossing bordering a forest, turn right, and then at the next intersection, turn left and follow the green tags. This beautiful path, wide and smooth, continues on a little more than one kilometer. On the left, a more difficult and sometimes slippery trail also leads to the end point of the hike. It zigzags between large trees, with a carpet of fern coloured undergrowth. Continue along the river to the waterfall.
